When they are hurting for pilots they grant waivers for almost anything. When the positions are filled...not so much. You just have to be at the right place at the right time.

What are the chances of getting a waiver for poor eyesight when trying to get into the WOFT program?

It depends on how bad your vision is. I know plenty of pilots who have to wear glasses to fly. I had LASEK at Fort Bragg about 5 years before I submitted my flight packet. Still have 20/20 vision today. I was pretty much legally blind without glasses/contacts before.

Depends on your eyesight. Usually it’s 20/50 that can be surgically corrected. Your best bet is to talk to your Aviation Clinic who will be conducting your flight physical.
