Points can be gained in different ways some of which have nothing to do with how someone impacts the RP community. It would be interesting to know what the other factors are.

I wasn't even aware of the bottle opener until I received a email from one of the staff here asking for my mailing address. I think it's a nice gesture for participating, and contributing. To me just a small gesture as that says a lot about the site, and the OUTSTANDING folks running it.

Problem is. I'm not one of those "fancy beer" drinking kinda guys that needs a bottle opener..lol. Twist top is just my speed.

ACPT (Join to see) I would never get this award. My opinions are too strong so people don't like my opinions or me. I don't deal well with the political topics and I speak my opinions. People don't generally like opinions that aren't their own. So I lose a lot of points

I think the point system is the "Objective" yardstick we use. Influence is a very Subjective standard and it is hard to quantify if we don't put some sort of metric behind it.

Is the system perfect? Likely not. But no system is. The best we can do is suggest "tweaks" in points allocation to get it closer to the stated goal. I think it's probably in the 90-95% mark as current.
