It should be an 8 team playoff. The ACC, SEC, B1G, PAC12 and Big 12 champions should get automatic bids. The remaining three slots should be wild card slots for the remaining D-1 conferences. Go Hokies!

Time will tell, but the BCS system never worked out as well as they hoped it would ( well.. with the exception of the year when Ohio State and Miami (Florida) both went undefeated). I think it will be better.

I believe it will better than what we had. I do believe they need to add four to eight more team to make it a better playoff system. However, they need to work the kinks out first before doing that.

Alright I reserved comment about it until watching it play out and I think they finally got it right. I am not saying that just because I am an Ohio State fan but I think it actually put more emphasis on the bowl games and even the regular season. Do I think it can get better may be but let it mature over the next couple of seasons.

Contrary to what many felt about the BCS, it gave everyone (for the most part anyways) what they truly wanted, No. 1 vs No. 2, on the field to decide the NC. Now, time will tell if the Playoff will be as successful as everyone hopes it will, I would have preferred either an 8 or 16 team playoff similar to the D-2 and D-3 playoffs, but for now will suffice with what is presented.
