The scene where the good guys are chasing the bad guys, (or the other way around) and during the chase they end up in a street market and knock over one or more vegetable/fruit stands and food flies everywhere. I don't know the very first movie to do that, but it seems like it has been copied by every movie since that had any kind of chase scene in it.

Man they have over done that one, and it doesn't matter if the are in LA's China Town or an Iowa flea market

There is the Shining taking the axe to the door part, that is from The Phantom Carriage, even the characters are the same.

That whole movie.....wow, talking about straying VERY far from the original and from the book which was a damn good read.

Another movie that was WAY out of bounds with the book was Planet of the Apes. I saw the movie way back in the day and then said, hmm, that would be a good book to read. Wow, just wow.

There was a crap ton of Dune that was not faithfull to the books and there was no reason for it not to be.

MSgt Jonathan Stump - I am not defending the movie. I really really didn't like it... I read the book, and saw the Vincent Price version, and Omega Man... But remaking a movie has nothing to do with coping a scene. I guess I need to rewrite my question. Like they copied him walking alone with a dog just like Mad Max.

SSG Pete Fleming - I understand, it was just such a bad movie I had to say it :) Well, not a bad movie, it was ok, just way off the original material.

MSgt Jonathan Stump - I get you... if you hadn't been familiar with the story if might have been good... or at least better (they killed it with ending)
