All I got was the opportunity to serve my country and find the one thing in life I was great at just wish I could use it in civilian life. Evan so I do not regret my time in the army

I purchase swag for our company, I find that more people prefer useful items over things that are novelty. Reviews are very positive for adhesive card holders, hand sanitizers, mints, car chargers, or portfolios. Even backscratchers - I guess people like the usefulness of these items. :)

better as a recruiting tool I think. Retention should be more about pride in a unit or the Army itself.

I'm really old school, SFC (Join to see). I don't see why they should be an item of "need" in any circumstances, and especially as promotional items for the military.

We had a saying in the Navy, (surprise!) "If it wasn't issued with your seanag in Boot Camp, you don't need it."

Reenlistmemt bonuses, an extra week of leave, or something else of that nature. Something valuable to show him appreciation for staying in.

Those are incentives. They are also in place. Bonuses are based off of MOS and directed by big Army. Passes/leave and the such is given by command teams.

Absolutely stupid! These are toys and were designed to keep autistic kids entertained for long periods of time. I see them as a tremendous waste of money myself!
