Recently I've noticed in several posts by various members that there seems to be a handful of folks who tend to be snide, rude, dis respectful, mean and callous and some are actually down right disgusting (sexist) in their responses.

I have noticed that a few members tend to do this quite a bit.

What would you do when you see a post like this? If it were a post you posted....Do you respond? Do you leave it alone? What if you didn't post it, but you read it on someone else's post?

Should these members be allowed to continue to be members?

Sgt Kelli Mays That is a great question. First, if it really offensive report it to one of us (Admins) we will work to get the thread removed. We want to keep the site profesional at all times. If isn't bad enough to met the guidelines for removal, then I would just ignore it. I've had some pretty bad comments made (not a lot), but a few and I usually ignore them and move on or I say, "Thanks for your professional feedback!", knowing that isn't what they wanted to hear. Some are just baiting you to respond, because it feeds their ego, so I never get caught in that or lower myself to their level. Stay true to yourself and be the ultimate professional. You have always been super polite and very professional - Keep up the great posts and discussions Kelli!

Being from Texas ,you should remember the saying we have for this type of individual. "Don`t pay any attention to $---,unless you step in it".

If they are that sort I'd think they didn't learn much during their enlistment. I don't care for disrespectful behavior or comments and I think theirs should be removed and a warning sent them not do so in the future or their membership would be revoked. Hopefully they value this forum enough to protect the privilege to continue using it. I know I do.

Some people didn't get enough attention from mommy and daddy and enjoy the anonymity of being behind a screen, able to say whatever they want with no direct eye-to-eye contact. They're cowards and should be ignored or removed.

I try to ignore them but there are a few that get under my skin and make me wonder why they ever joined the military and also how they survived in the military.

PO2 Mark Saffell, they might not have always been like that. My sister the nurse calls it age-related hardening of the opinions.
