I have volunteered for a deployment to OEF-HOA, by searching up deployments on google and contacting recruiters from that state. I know opsec can get in the way, but any help or tips would be appreciated

All of them, and none of them, but only a few, and in specific location! ... seriously why would anyone in their right mind provide you with this information online, in a public forum... remove your head from you 4th point and go ask your CoC...

Take this RFI, and run it up thru your Chain. Just because you put yourself down for Volunteer, does not always mean that you are guaranteed a deployment slot. You still need to be proactive if you are looking for a mission. Check with your 3 shop. Check with your 1SG to see if they can run this RFI up the flag pole.

And yet you ask this question anyway knowing OPSEC exists and knowing that receiving answers to this question on a public platform violates it.

Look at MOBCOP/Tour of Duty. That's where you will find opportunities for guardsmen and reservists and possibilities for deployment. You will have to sign in with your CAC in order to see them.

Be proactive and get into contact with your NCO chain. I volunteered for my deployment with another unit, but it had to be run through my CSM and OIC as well as the commander of the unit I was being assigned to the for the deployment.
