Loved my stay in Eglin, loved Florida in general. I was supposed to go to Germany but was reclassed before that could happen.

I originally enlisted to be EOD and that's where phase 2 is for that school. It's a Naval school on an Air Force base, with all four branches training together.

I was very fortunate. My first base was Eglin, my second was Monkey Mountain RVN, and my final base was Homestead. Great assignments all, but Eglin was perhaps the best.
