What can be done to improve the Space Force dress uniforms? What do you think of them?

Do you really want our people to look like Nazis when in dress uniforms?????

SPC (Join to see) - It's not the uniforms, per se'....or how they LOOKED. It's who wore them, and what they, and the uniforms represented. Eg: pure evil.
SGT (Join to see)
Not Nazis, friend. The Empire from the original Star Wars. Though to your point, the Empire is also pure evil.

Lawdy, that's ugly. I would have loved to have been in that meeting.
Okay, gents, let's take everything every SM hated about their uniforms and make one out of all of them.
HRUMPH?
HRUMPH!!!
That man didn't give me a HRUMPH!!
Give the Sergeant Major his HRUMPH!!!
hrumph...

That is the Air Force way. Every problem has three possible solutions. Number one is the absolute best, number two is good enough, and number three is absolutely horrible. Air Force regulations require that you choose number three.

Maj (Join to see) - So, they're just like the rest of the military? We used to say "In every unit there is one officer and one NCO who knows exactly what's going on. Find those two and transfer them, immediately."

Sounds like it. "Train up the officers until they know the mission well and then transfer them to a completely different job that they have to learn from scratch." - AFPC Mission Statement

We definitely didn't need the mismatched top & pants. The badge on the abdomen isn't sitting well with me either. Maybe they designed these knowing the personnel will be putting them on in a dark, zero G environment.

Sweatpants. We need dress-sweats. While I have never gotten dressed in zero-G, I have gotten dressed in the dark, at a dead run. Sweats would have been great.

That badge looked similar to a Joint Staff badge that's on the other side of AF Service Dress. Maybe that's an HQSF badge? It does look a little low, though.

Just say some prayers for them. They are a part of us now and a part of our family. Their mission is an extended part of ours and that's to keep us safe, regardless of what they are wearing, as long as they are getting the mission done, I guess that's all that's got to matter.

SGT(P) (Join to see) - If they're part of the family, then sometimes you got to take the younger brother aside and tell him he's screwing up - for his own sake and for the family's.
For instance: "Space Force, you're my younger brother, and I love you. But don't ever take sides with anyone against the Family again"

First, either close the collar, as a mandarin collar, like the Marine Corps, or, don’t wear a traditional collar shirt with neck tie; instead, wear a mandarins collar shirt, similar to what a priest wears, and maybe consider using distinct career field colors for the collar that shows through the coat opening.
Second, get rid of the button and replace them with clasps that are hidden from view. You can run silver piping down the side if you want to show a break along the seem on the coat. Put a clasp at the top portion of the coat, that goes from one section to the other, with a burnished silver Space Force emblem. You guys went Star Trek with your uniform, so go all the way Star Trek. By trying to go halfway between old and new, you made the current uniform look like a door man in a fancy Manhattan building.
Go bold with your change, or go traditional and use the WWII pater uniform with your Space Force color palet.

There will be no new uniform that will win over everyone - especially members of this group. Whatever is the final product, it will be made fun of. The consideration they must be facing is that they are a new branch with a mission towards securing the high-ground - space. The uniform must reflect that. Its origins are USAF. so it can't look too much like them. Much like the USMC does not resemble the USN at all, despite their Dept of the Navy origins. For some, it'll take some getting used to.

Very well said!!!

Just because no solution will satisfy all doesn't mean there aren't better solutions... or that there aren't solutions that are just bad.
I see nothing wrong with them keeping with the Air Force's look, personally. Unlike the Army-Air Force split, or the Navy-Marine split, the Space Force really isn't in a significantly different domain than the Air Force... at least not yet. When they're actually operating in space, then things might be different.

being under the Sec Nav, doesn't make one part of the Navy. Need to be under the CNO for that.

Pants look like someone threw them at her at random without looking at the tag or fitting before hand.
Why where a tie with this jacket design? Would a tab or something similar be way more comfortable and practical for all wearers?
