What can I do if I was told by my supervisor that I was entitled to BAH, but then was denied BAH after moving out of the barracks?

Back in February I was advised by my first line that I was entitled BAH, and in order to receive BAH, I had to clear the barracks and use that as a supporting document. So, I cleared the barracks, got an apartment and then told i would not be receiving BAH. I put in a CNA packet. Hearing rumors about it getting denied although I was led down the wrong path by my leadership. My spouse gets BAH @ E3

Visit or call Finance and get the information from the horse's mouth. They know the regs.

You're supposed to get BAH with dependent rate for the location you're at since that ended. That was in 2019 that it geo bachelor stopped.
I'd go to IG.

SPC (Join to see) Do you and your spouse live together? have children? Was there a lack of space in the barracks?

SSG (Join to see) There's no geographical bachelor program anymore though. So yes they should be getting BAH.

SFC Kelly Fuerhoff - Even as E4 and base housing available, w/o dependents? I only ask, so I am not giving out bad information in the future. I am not active anymore so I can accept that things have changed since I left the active side.

SSG (Join to see) Geographical bachelor means the person is married but their spouse isn't located with them. So they have a dependent.
If someone is E5 and below and single, with no dependents, no they don't get BAH unless there's no room in the B's and usually they start with E5s getting BAH if that's true.
They stopped letting geo bachelor's stay in the B's because they didn't have room.
2019 is when they ended geo bachelor program. I posted a link on here somewhere.
