There are thee institutions that instill virtue in society. "America is Great because America is Good!"

1. The Family
2. The church
3. The school system

The family in many cases in our modern America has been des mantled. As a result less people go to Church, finally the schools have lost there freedom to teach conservative concepts and our country is suffering. What can be done to right the ship?

Can someone help me with the definition of America's former glory? What does that look like? Who's model and values does that fit? What time frame should we go back to?

Lt Col Parker, My simple answer. Lol
1.A time when we felt safe enough to leave our doors unlocked.
2. A time when mom and dad were married.
3. A time when most people knew their neighbors.
4. A time when most people found there way to a house of worship on Sunday, and working the weekends was not as common place.
5. A time when kids respected authority and their parents.
6. A time when dressing in a neat and clean manner was the norm.
7. A time when most Americans wanted nothing to do with a welfare check, and those on disability were truly disabled.
8. A time when you didn't even know there was an immigration problem.
9. A time when America wasn't in debt to the world.
10. A time when baseball was Americas favorite past time........

I would like to say I don't want to go back to the way race relations in our country used to be. But for the most part I would like to go back to the America right after the end of WW2....

SGT Anthony Rossi - A wonderful list of good things and your point is taken. And as you pointed out, there was the good and the bad (race relations, cold war, the communist inquiries by McCarthy,etc.). I suppose each era has its positives and negatives. I think its our job as citizens to try to retain the good parts and fix the bad ones by taking the high road on some of these issues and not getting sucked into the politics and influence of big money. Just my humble opinion.

As a judge once said about prostitution, "I know what it is when I see It." (paraphrased) Well considering the state of the state and globally, this ain't it!. For a starter, this is the period I would return to, January 20, 1981 – January 20, 1989.

I've tried that - in every election since I turned 18. No matter who you vote in they mess it all up.

It may seem like our vote is of little importance, but if we accept it then we truly have lost right to even be free. VOTE! Ladies and gentlemen.

SGT Anthony Rossi We need to elect leadership that will respect and fight for these values. The MSM and Hollywood will always push to what makes them money. The society and our leadership need to support Families, Faith and the structure necessary to raise children. The federal government continues to pass laws that attack this structure and we wonder why we are losing two parent households!
