just reading the question gives me anxiety...lol...personally, I never violated a uniform policy...but for those that did, it really made me upset! I can not stand seeing our uniform disgraced...wearing it wrinkle...boots looking like crap...hands in your pocket (that's the WORST)...cover indoors, no cover outdoors...chewing gum in uniform...eating and walking while in uniform...oh em gee...the list goes on...my temperature is rising just thinking about these uniform violations... :)

Women with out of spec haircuts/hairdos; and when they argued when you tried to correct them, citing EO and sexism. Gad, how I hated the fallout after Tailhook.

Officers doing the inspections whose uniforms are screwed up as they correct ours!

Before any Officer inspection, The Senior SNCO would always give the CO a private inspection in his office prior to inspection. Since It's SCNO's that teach Marine Officers how to be a Marine Officer it's a courtesy that goes back generations....and the C.O. will give you the once over as well.

When I was in the one thing that got to me was dirty boots and dirty uniforms

For me, it's service uniforms. I had to wear my service uniform every Friday, so I always looked shit hot. But I knew Marines who hadn't worn it since boot camp and then they try to do a uniform inspection and you've got some with stains, some are popping buttons, belts don't fit etc. It's like they didn't even try it on before coming to inspection. I always reviewed my Marines before an inspection, but that's the most common thing I've seen.
