I'm hearing/reading people saying "I'm old school, therefore..." So out of curiosity's sake, where is that ever-moving line?

Old School.....1972-1994......MCRD, San Diego, CA......MCCES, 29 Palms MCB, CA........4/12, 3/12,
Camp Hauge, 3rd MarDiv, Okinawa, Japan....105’s, 155’s.......Camp Fuji, Base Camp w/ 3/12....
Subic Bay, Mindoro, PI......just love these out houses where you had 55 gallon drums for your toilets, Cold Showers, and your basic Quonset Huts with Cable Crossings over head for your typical Typhoon weather. Life as it should be In those days of days! Semper Fidelis Brothers and Sisters.

We used to have a chief back in the 80's, of him it was said, "When God created water Chief was on the pier with his seabag."
I might say I'm salty...but never say I'm old school.

Muskets & sailing ships, more than likely. I have been retired for 30+ years and am still trying to figure the "old school" out.

The answer to this question will always change. In twenty years my generation will say we were the old school army. The folks who served in the 80s-90s will say it was their experience. The people who served in Vietnam will say it was what they experienced. WW2 would put down what they went through. Technically Washington's first continental Army is the old school army haha.

I would say "old schoolers" are those who think that women don't belong in the military. Just my two cents worth.
