Eating C-rations that were canned 3 years prior to your birth.
"Breaking starch" on your fatigues more than once a day.
Getting your first sets of permanent press, wash & wear fatigues and khakis.
Having rank (and branch insignia for officers) on your collar where they belong and not on your belly.
Doing PT in trousers, boots, and a tee shirt with a four mile run in formation to finish each day's session.

If your "brand new" Honeywell computers with 4-inch monitors in SUDAPS had metal tags reading "Property of US Air Force", you know you're Old School. If your entire warehouse inventory of repairable aircraft parts worth over $250,000,000 was tracked by hand on Stock Status Cards, you know you're Old School. When physically "disciplining" an obstinate troop got you a quiet handshake and an "attaboy" from the Gunny instead of Office Hours, you know you're Old School.

Start off by remembering what today is. Without the news, which very little has been said, remember your military history, or get ready to repeat it!
