What constitutes being "old school" in the military?

you must be over 80 years to understand what old school Army is all about, wipe that snot off your nose sunny and learn to like WWII 1945 powdered eggs.

When I enlisted in the Marine Corps in 1967, my Bn SgtMaj who landed on Iwo Jima as a Pfc was "old Corps" (old school), my nephew who's in the Corps now considers me old school, his son who's 3 and will keep the family tradition of service going will consider his dad "old school".
So . . . "old school" is the tradition of handing down the values that we all cherish. Our values are all the same, irregardles of branch . . each service branch has its own traditions, but our values are all the same . . from generation to generation.
