It's been 11 years today since I lost my first friend and fellow soldier in combat. Every year at this time the guys from the old unit call each other, make commemorative facebook posts, wear our unit shirt, etc. Does anyone else on RP does this as well? What do others do to remember their fallen brothers and sisters? Is it something daily, or one the anniversary? I used to wear a KIA bracelet everyday, now I only wear it on the same day that is engraved on it (unfortunately I have a couple).

This workout was one of Mike's favorites and he'd named it "Body Armor". From here on it will be referred to as "Murph" in honor of the focused warrior and great American who wanted nothing more in life than to serve this great country and the beautiful people who make it what it is.

I remember my fallen comrades by setting two plates at my dinner table at the holidays and tip the chairs forward with their pictures taped to the backs of them.

I had someone close to me that passed away in combat as well. On that aniversity date, I post something on facebook to his family so they know he isn't forgotten.
