For me, I grew up in one town until I was 17 and left for the military. I didn't realize some things were specific to Pennsylvania and the Northeast until I couldn't get the things I craved!

My top things I still miss:

Wegmans Grocery Stores
MTO at Sheetz
Butterscotch Krimpet Tastykakes

What are your hometown favorites?

I grew up in Northern New Jersey.
--going to see live Irish music with my family
--the buzz of NYC anytime of the day or night
--real pizza
--Diner food
--White Castle (I know, weird, but yum)
--Sabrett street cart hot dogs in NYC ("dirt water dawgs") with sautéed red onions
:')

Diner food is definitely something to be missed, and I am also a huge fan of the dirty water dogs! I have family in Brooklyn and that was always a stop when we went to visit!

SCPO David Lockwood, I also miss (most of) my family! Skype is both a blessing and a curse. A few of them purposely eat the things I miss when they call. I miss them a little less! :)

Togo's, Vangos, Riverside Pizza, Presque Isle, 5 min drive to go anywhere in town, bike paths, hiking/walking, university students (can't believe I'm saying that), fall colors, snow, lots of HS friends, and the "small town" feeling.

Uh, that's not it... You are referring to Erie, PA I guess? :-) Any idea the town I'm from? The only thing that is not "in town" is Riverside Pizza - about 75 mi drive, but well worth it.
