Making sure candidates can be trusted with sensitive information who can and who can't. After this recent top secret leak on the web the military needs to keep a watchful eye on OPSEC.

I've been out of the military for over 3 years now, and have tried to distance myself from it due to a difference in understanding and a lack of faith on my part. And that, I think is going to be a growing issue for the military and the United States in general: a lack of faith and trust that the U.S. Government and it's military is acting in the best interest of itself, it's people, and it's allies. I don't believe this to be a result of any particular administration, but to a change in how millennials and Gen Z perceives the United States and the rest of the world.

Recruitment will continue to be the biggest problem. It will restrict preparedness and the ability to react quickly in a crisis. Readiness will also be harmed by lack of equipment and ammunition. Politics is not supposed to drive the military but Patriotism.

Most significant challenge is troop/fleet readiness hindered by DoD mismanagement and wokeism.

Lack of resiliency in today's young people and recruitment. Today's young people seem to lack resilience and cannot or won't come into the military. Hard to blame them when you see how things have changed of the past couple of years. I talk to recruiters monthly and they tell me constantly about the lack of new bodies or the lack of eligible new bodies coming through their doors. It's become a sad state of affairs.

Poor troop readiness due to lack of good recruits and all branches not equipped to fight any boots on the ground or naval battles.

The effectiveness of our military is dependent on the quality of personnel recruited and trained in a fashion which emphasizes honesty and commitment to the missions of each branch of service. Military personnels' recognition of our nation's ethnic, gender and religious diversity must always be secondary to our primary mission to support and defend our nation against foreign and domestic threats to the sovereignty of this great nation. National conscription should be revisited to assurance everyone participates equally in the defense and future of our republic.

The biggest challenge is obviously recruitment and retention. It’s not just making the numbers and checking the box. I enlisted after the events of 9/11. Patriotism is at an all time low IMO. Growing up in a military family I was inspired by programs on WWII. Stories of heroism. My father would take me to events at his company. I enjoyed riding in different military vehicles. Nowadays I don’t see that.

There are many scenarios, not so far fetched, in our countries future months which could present major challenges for our military. Possibly an unexpected domestic terrorist event…increased deployments around the world requiring our presence stretching our troops thin… I’ve been out for a couple decades but recruitment and retention has always been an issue… But I believe a challenge we’ve become used to these past few years is life is different, somehow we’ve all become less everyday people with normal relationships, lives and freedoms and we’ve been made to feel like patients. Careful, cautious patients. It’s a lot to deal with for older soldiers such as myself. I’d say the biggest challenge for our men and women in uniform will be feeling normal, easy, free and human not only for the remainder of 2023 but for many years to come. The job is stressful already, mental fitness could be hard to maintain for all branches. Thank everyone for your service. You are appreciated. Much love!

The biggest challenge would be World War 3. Why? To see which Country has the most power to win.

Troop strength is dwindling but its the wusification of men and the attack of masculinity that is the problem and we will fall if we don't face this head on iand have an honest open conversation on what and where it is coming from.. Message to men: ITS OK TO ACT LIKE A MAN THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH IT DESPITE WHAT YOU HEAR! God have mercy on us all.

In my opinion, it is essential to our security that the US military immediately stop allowing the WOKE philosophy in training and to block senior members of the armed services from using such outlandish theories to weaken our military readiness. Our enemies want to defeat us, we don't need to help them take over our country.
