What do you see as the single hardest "Military Trait" to unlearn during transition?

So for me, and this is just me, but I get to have a discussion at least 10 times a day about how I write out a date. Not to mention when i turn things into acronyms. So what is it for you out there, that have transitioned, that you see as the hardest thing to unlearn?

This is a great question. And challenging one to answer...
I'd say the hardest trait to unlearn is the...shutup and color that's the way we've always done it...rather than deal with the bureaucracy and the juice is just not worth the squeeze -- trait.
Because not standing up and not standing out can become a bad habit during transition.

I knew where you were coming from LT, But I must say that most of my experience on the outside, I have found the same "Juice not worth the squeeze" mentality. It is the rare C Level that understands, that until you squeeze, you cannot be sure how much juice is there.

Forgetting that my biological kids are not my military "kids" and using "choice" language around them.

Choice language get me a lot as well. When i received my Bachelors (After the Military) they asked if it should read Mathew "F-Bomb" Jones. HA
