Colorado now joins 19 other states—as well as Guam, Puerto Rico, and Washington, DC—that allows patients with PTSD access to medical cannabis.

If it works, then go ahead, they already give morphine, even used it on the battle field.

If it truly helps, then I agree with the judge.

Both the Legion and VFW magazines had articles on Medical Marijuana and PTSD. There are benefits from its use. The are drawbacks to its abuse. LIKE ANY OTHER DRUG. With more usage, better controls/testing on dosages and usage of the drug, that is smoke it, eat it, cook with it, use it as a topical .... etc there will be a better understanding to its benefits and drawbacks. Remember it is not only THC but the CBD that has benefits. When very low THC and high CBD strains are used there is a benefit with out the "high".
So why not, if it helps, why not.

Honestly, I do not think much upon this, and I live in Colorado. the brutal truth is this, it is not federally legal to utilize Mary Jane, so it is a moot point. The VA is a federal. not state, institution. That being the case, no Doctor in the VA system will be able to script it to a vet, No doctor in the tricare system will be able to script is as well as tricare is federal. Until such a time as the Federal Government reverses their law regarding this, it is not an option under our current healthcare plans and systems.

Colorado allows recreational marijuana, so what the heck. Maybe this is just about who pays for the drug. If it truly helps people with PTSD, I say go for it.

In California we have had "medical marijuana" for a number of years. We now have legalize (decriminalized) "recreational marijuana." Yet, the medical marijuana dispensarys are still seeking medical clients as well as seeking new customers for recreational pot. Why a difference? Sales Tax? Business Licensing? Not sure and can't say that it makes much sense to me. (And I don't even smoke pot!)

I feel its about time the use of medical marijuana gets into every state. The only reason is big pharmacy and payoffs to politicians. I just got into the VA after 50 years. My own reasons and as I go through the despicable maze I see why I never enrolled. Yes it works but I only use for sleep and just edibles.
