What do you think will happen to the 1st female combat engineer who went AWOL, deserted, and then turned herself in?

Same as a male combat engineer.

She will be processed just like previous Trainees who have pulled similar stunts in TRADOC; this is nothing new except for the media hype. There's a slim chance based upon her personal circumstances that she could be a day one recycle. However, from a former Commander's perspective, I just see a discharge based on failure to adapt. I'd rather not take that chance of keeping her on the books for it to happen again.
