Have the Veterans here stayed in shape since leaving their beloved branch? If not, why not start getting back into it now? Veterans don't make excuses, they make decisions.
What have you done to stay in shape and what motivation can you pass onto your fellow servicemen and women to get them back on track?

Good morning,
For 15yrs it was the gym and a Rugby way of life. Now, with a knee issue, It's the gym and the occasional creek patrol running into large snakes, deer, alligators... Did I tell you folks how big that last alligator I wrestled was?

It's in difficult to play judo at my age, shoulders need replaced and peripheral neuropathy in the feet. But it so brutal and fun.

Highly recommend this organization to all! Team RWB (red, white, blue) mission is to connect the American veteran to the community through physical fitness and social activities. Team RWB is a great organization open to all veterans-AD, Retired, Guards, Disabled Vets and Civilians it help me keep in shape. When I retired I missed the camaraderie and working out. Then I found Team RWB it is awesome reconnecting with individuals who walk the walk and talk the talk. The great part is Team RWB is located all over the US. When you travel you call connect with the RWB team where your going to see if they have any fun events while there and it's family! To join go to: team rwb.org
then select join you will love it!

"What do you Veterans do to stay in shape"
I don't know what Veterans do to stay in shape but too many of them need to get off their couch or from behind their desk & do something even if it is wrong just do something ...Walk, run, hike, or workout at home by doing setups, pushups and get on a low fat diet. If not then you are just going to be sorry when you get to be my age (80+).. Every time I have lunch with my old High School buds most of them have to tell me about all their medical issues that probably could have been prevented if they worked out more in their 30s & 40s...IHMO
Clint Eastwood is 6 years older than me and here's how he looks recently...
My grand daughter's pals think we look alike but I told them I am younger and better looking than Old Clint is and I don't talk to empty chairs to badmouth Obama..

I run 3-5 miles a couple times a week during lunch, try to make it to the range as often as possible, and have a five month old...which is a lot like perpetual mid-watch.

I didn't see any when I asked the question.. Thought it would be a good discussion for the Veterans on here.

Just because its present doesn't mean people will see it. I think it's good to have these kinds of discussions, even if it's already been had once.

TSgt (Join to see) and LTJG (Join to see) , if you search for a question with a little effort before asking, because the RP search isn't that great, you can find many. Also, if you reply to an older question, link, or status update, that will bring the thread back into others' news feed.

I did, and I didn't find any.. If you provide a link I will see about getting an admin to combine the two.
