Simple. I like it. It's the "without restriction" that is seldom seen...in fact never seen.

I think it is seldom seen because "without restriction" carries a caviot that it means "NO RESTRICTIONS AT ALL". Therefore, within the context of that meaning, for example, rioters have an "OPPORTUNITY" to destroy and steal "WITHOUT RESTRICTION" anything they want (and they do) and I know we can all agree that is NOT freedom. I certainly agree with 1LT Mann that it is emphatically an "OPPORTUNITY" but with specific restrictions that are not contrary to the law. However, freedom is certainly an OPPORTUNITY to pursue our God given rights.

You're wearing it in your pic. 240 years of it, right, wrong, or indifferent. We're STILL here, pretty much the way we started. No other country has had the success we've had as long.

Working my butt off for a few years to be able to enjoy life with my family when and where I want to, like this...

As Army Ranger, Aviator and paratrooper Kris Kristofferson once wrote in a song, 'Freedom's just another word for nothing left to lose.'

I'd agree with that. Self imposed restrictions as a result of loyalties and obligations can certainly impose on ones sense of freedom...

CW4 Juan Morales wasn't he talking about loss of a loved one? I am not trying to be a smart ass here as I happen to think that he is a great artist, but as I said, I thought it was about losing the love of your life, then having the "freedom" that comes with being alone.

CPT Ahmed Faried when I made my final car payment, and received the final "billing Statement" with a zero balance, I did a dance. Do you have any idea how hard it is for a fat man with no rhythm to pull off a happy dance? So I can only imagine how it feels getting sally off your back.

Freedom to me is the ability to like what I want and dislike what I want. Do what I want (within the law of course) without worrying what others think, and affording the same to others!

This is simple. Freedom, at least to me, is making my own choices without infringement by others yet doing so in an adult and responsible manner.
