The right to live life as I want to, as long as it is not intrusive (directly) to others. To live in what used to be the greatest country in the world. Politics aside I am not as free as I was 2 years ago.

Freedom means being able to make your own decisions with out having to be escorted in or out of chains and to say no without fear of repercussions.

To have decisions to make and you have the right to make them based on what you have learned, experienced and feel you have enough intelligence to do what you want within the laws because able to do so without someone trying to control your desire.

The ability to choose. Choose indolence or industry, animosity or amity, dignity or disgrace, service or selfishness, avarice or altruism, carnality or chastity, conniption or content, maligninty or morality. Any or all up to the point it denies another the same ability to choose.

It means that as long as what I do, am doing, have done; harms no one you can't say anything. And Vice Versa. For to many these days freedom is I can do what I want, but you can't do what you want. As long as no is harmed, its no ones business.

I once gave a talk at our church on veteran's day. In over 8 years of reserve time this was one of only two times I wore my uniform in other than duty status.

My basic premise was thanking people for coming and listening to what I had to say. Freedom means you came here tonight by choice not because someone told you a soldier was speaking here and you had to attend.

It was extremely well received.

SSG (Join to see) Crush your enemies, See them driven before you, and hear the lamentations of their women? Wait no sorry, that is the answer to what is best in life.

Freedom is being able to speak my mind. Freedom is a steak medium rare because I feel like it. Freedom is being able to get in my car and go where I want without being told I cannot go there. Freedom is being able to worship in a manner I see fit without being told that it is not allowed. Freedom is pursuing the things I enjoy without interference. Freedom is the mutual respect that I can do the things I have listed, and you can do the same so long as we are respectful of each others' right to do so.

To me it means you can do what you want with in limits. God gave you freedom it's like a test. He wants to see if you give into the temptation of the world,so he wants you to stay with him through the trail.
