What does the word integrity mean to you?

Doing what is right even if it is hard. There is no black or white, everyone should follow the basic kindness. Yes, the “rules” still apply when no one else is there.

Integrity is who you are when nobody is looking. You can't go where your character and integrity can't keep you.

Integrity to me means the effort to live my life with the utmost authenticity and as truthfully as possible. I would hope in doing so I would exude and keep integrity as a core essence of who I strive to be daily.

Whenever an NCO asked me which Army value meant the most to me, I always said "integrity." Yes, integrity is doing what is right, even when no one is witnessing, but it's more than that. Integrity is the bedrock of values. Without it, all other values are meaningless.

Knowing and doing the right thing regardless of the consequences to yourself.

Integrity - to me, integrity means doing the right thing, even when no one else is watching. The best example I've come across - pushing the shopping cart into the receiving area, even in the middle of the evening when no one is around to see. Just doing the right thing.

Never bending to what others may think. Thinking for yourself a course to help never harm anyone who you have love for. It's being righteous when it's called for.

To me it means being a person of your word. Doing what is right in of people and doing what you said you would do.
