What does the word sacrifice mean to you?

Sacrifice,
A word that means it's not about you anymore or your family or your beliefs. A word that means are willing to give the ultimate price so that others can succeed. A word that is telling you to do what you have to have to do in order for you to get the mission done. A word in which it means you will give your all so others can reep the benefits and not ask for anything in return.

Giving of one’s self completely to serve and protect others

Sacrifice means giving up family at home to swear your life to family ((fellow brothers and sisters in arms) to ensure the mission was completed. Even if it meant loss of life, as we swore to defend.

Giving it all without expectations.

The Greatest portion of Loyalty.

Doing without for the sake of others.

Giving up what you care about for something more important. It applies to all aspects of what you care about no matter how much.

Sacrifice means to give of oneself, no matter the cost. In combat, we actually see men commit the ultimate sacrifice by jumping on a grenade, saving the lives of the men with them. Many times, the sacrifice is made with split-second decision making. It shows the unconscious love a man has for his fellow man. Like I said, this may sound corny, but that doesn't make it any less true.

I will bleed for you physically,; I will do without what I need, so that you survive.

To give up everything for those around you.
