What does the word sacrifice mean to you?

Giving of oneself for a cause, or a person, or my country.

Sacrifice is to give of one's self without expectations of reward, to a cause greater one's self...

Sacrifice to me means when a person puts the needs of others before their own. It can mean where you do a particular action to help others and you don't think of yourself first.
