What does the word selflessness mean to you?

Making sacrifices against your own comfort.

Willingness to continue aiding other even though one is of need of aid as well.

Giving your all for others. Many of these questions I am referring to the team, your brothers in arms, your family and those who cannot protect or provide for themselves.

Selflessness can be described as an external source applied to oneself which is more greatly appreciated than oneself.

In the equation that is your dream, I do not factor in my risk.

To me, selflessness means ALWAYS doing what's best for the greater good, regardless of how it affects oneself.

It means doing something without thinking of self interest, “self” isn’t involved in the decision.

Selflessness is synonymous with being giving to someone for a cause that's greater than himself or for the greater good such as sacrificing your life for your country is the biggest act of selflessness I can think of.

Waking up everyday with the attitude that the mission means more than ones self. Selflessness giving all you have to give for the mission.
