Nicely done, the Skyray is such an interesting looking fighter.
I recently finished a 1/72 M1 Abrams in MERDC camo and am working on a 1/72 "Hollywood Zero" as made for the movie Tora Tora Tora and seen at airshows today.

It is actually the old Esci kit, bought it to use the barrel for a different project. That didn't work out so I used it to practice various Mig & AK weathering products.

I have a pair of C-47s I plan to tackle after the Zero. Both are 1/72; one will be done as Buffalo Airways "The Sched" and the second I am converting into a Basler BT-67 Turbo Gooney. I plan to finish it in a retro TEX ANG scheme of white over polished aluminum with the 111th's Texas flag on the tail.

Say do you know how to get a burnt metal look? My starfighter is going to be painted bare aluminum, but I want to create the burnt metal effect for the engine exhaust.
