Just to start the conversation, I still make sure that my 'gig' line is straight every single time I get dressed.

I still use the 24 hour time clock. still have the "take care of the equipment and the equipment will take care of you" attitude. I march everywhere I go.

1. Remaining fit. 2. Getting up early. 3. Eating too fast. 4.Situational awareness. 5. It's not "Oh 300", it's "Zero 300".

That funny about the gig line item You mention, I do that also and check it whenever I'm getting dressed. I also got in the habit of carrying items in the left hand to keep the right hand free for salutes How about standing at parade rest when talking to people especially if they are senior to You. Some habits are hard to break.

I do the gig line thing, make my bed and fold my clothes the same and wolf down my food.

As a former Infantryman and vehicle driver I still check all the fluids in both my wife's and my car several times a week and check tire pressure every couple of weeks. Also pretty big on keeping up on the maintenance of both!!

2 things. 1. My gig line. Even if I'm wearing shorts and a polo shirt, my zipper and buckle HAVE to line up.
2. I frequently catch myself walking in step when I'm with someone.
