Just to start the conversation, I still make sure that my 'gig' line is straight every single time I get dressed.

I still put the day month year on all my communications and signatures.
Just always made more sense to me anyway.

#1 being 15 minutes early to meetings, #2 saying yes sir or yes ma'am, #3 spelling phonetically when people ask me to spell my name when I am on the phone, #4 ironing my pants with lines (annoys my wife) and my shirt sleeves too, #5 setting all of my clocks fast so I don't oversleep or be late

I sleep with a loaded .45 within reach and my K-Bar in my night stand right next to the bed. I go nowhere without a loaded weapon. Might sound paranoid, but that's my comfort level. Been that way for 40 years.

Eating too fast. When I was at Knox, the mess hall was too small, and they gave us 2m to eat our food. Here I am 42 years later, still trying to slow down when we have a meal together.

Can't let my hair touch my ears, after all these years, still bothers me, basically get a civilian high & tight, LOL. And with round two of kids (girls 15,14,11) I taught them how to make their bed 'correctly'. :)

Holy cow, there is a list for me since I was raised a Brat with a former Drill Sergeant for a father!
1- I'd rather be an hour early than a minute late. even 10 minutes before the appointment is at least 10 minutes late to me! LOL
2- I still adjust my gig-line
3- I still polish my jump boots
4- I still say "Sir" or "Ma'am", unless talking to an NCO
5- I still use 24-hour time
6- I still use Zulu time when talking to friends overseas
7- I am still insanely organized and methodical when working
8- I slowed my eating habits for the wife. Now I finish my plate in 5 or so minutes instead of under 2 minutes.
9- I still use the Phonetic alphabet when spelling
10 - I trained my dog using drill commands like "At Ease" to calm down
11 - I use the term "At Ease" or "Attention" when I need a room quiet
12 - I still maintain my Alice pack, tent, cold weather bag, and weapons
13 - I still average only about 5 hours sleep a night, with the occasional full 8

there is so much more that the wife laughs about...
