What habit(s) have you been unable to break after leaving the military?

Just to start the conversation, I still make sure that my 'gig' line is straight every single time I get dressed.

I always blouse my shirts and check my Military alignment. I always wear a cover. I always back into my parking spots or drive through and park pointing out. I always run contingency plans. My wife says I walk and eat to fast. I Sir or Mam everyone older unless I have been introduced or told other wise. Mostly wear black or dark, other colors make me feel like a target. I have one pair of dress shoes, other wise I always wear some kind of boot.
How ever after 45 years out of Marine Corp boot camp and 20 years in the service I don't wear my tags, so it's nice to know I was not brain washed. :)

My young son now has my dog tags! I stopped wearing them years ago, but do miss having them available. SSgt Robert Prest

I still tend to walk with thumb to first knuckle of fore finger and still have a tendency to shovel my food down.

Gig line always, early is the only acceptable on time and don't leave until the job is done - clocks don't determine quitting time.

Still waking up at ridiculous hours eating way to fast and constantly observing every entrance and exit in public areas chewing tobacco and smoking cigs as well
