What happens (as far as sequence number goes) if you are already a SLC graduate and you got selected on this FY18 SFC list?

Sequence numbers aren't based off of whether or not you have SLC, they're based off of who's the most senior. That's supposed to change in the future.

So here's a question. Let's say you're not an SLC graduate, and your sequence number comes up, and you go to SLC after the fact. would you be promoted the following month? Are you then at the front of the line?
I just hope my name is somewhere-anywhere on the list "SELECT". I hope you all made it.

If you got selected you’ll get promoted once your sequence number comes up but make sure you’re checking the right selection list when the senior monthly promotion sequence number are published (FY18 SFC Sequence Number)

You’ll have to attend SLC in order to pin. Try to get a class date as soon as possible. You cannot pin until SLC is completed. SSG James J. Palmer IV aka "JP4"

Understood...well at least it’s almost done :). Try to contact schools at HRC to get a date, they usually favor deployed Soldiers more and try their best to get you what you need.

Screenshot from AR 600-8-19.
Completion of NCOPDS in no way affects your sequence number, but with he STEP program in place it could expedite your promotion.
For example: you have a sequence number of 2. HRC has determined that only one Soldier from your MOS will be picked up this month. If sequence number one has not completed SLC, you’re next in the chute.
Pretty gross simplification, but if you’re really looking to get in he weeds with it, reference 600-8-19 and the ALARACT regarding the STEP program.

Your sequence number should be aligned with TIG, TIS after selection. Thank you for your service.

Well NOW I'm in the same boat as you, thank God! I was selected and have been an SLC graduate for 6 years so I hope I'm promoted soon. We both might find out on the same day.
