What happens if you fail the RASP? Do they usually give you another chance like recycling or they just kick you out from the RASP? I heard RASP, they dont usually kick the soldier out, they just recycled until they make it through, but I wanna make sure if that info is correct. And last question is what is the main reason why people kicked out or quit.

RASP doesn't change your MOS, it's a selection to join a unit. If you're an IET Soldier who just joined you will be assigned to your first unit. If you're already at a unit and attending you just return to your unit

When you fail you'll be sent to the needs of the Army if you're an IET Soldier. As to whether you'll be granted a chance to recycle, that's on the Cadre to decide.
People quit because it's fucking hard. I've successfully passed RIP (before it became RASP), SFAS and 75th Pre-Ranger, and Ranger school. RIP was absolutely the hardest course/selection I've ever experienced. Two thirds of our class quit.

PV2 (Join to see) I was 135 pounds when I went. A lot of people are skinny in the beginning. I can't tell you if you can make it. Only you can.

Probably because i was one of your RIP Cadre! I remember one time we had a small class of like 100 guys and graduated something like 12-13 guys.

MSG (Join to see) Lol only if you were a RIP Cadre in 98! If you were, I gotta say those guys were some of the hardest dudes I’ve ever seen. RIP was hands down the hardest class I ever attended and passed. Harder than Ranger School, Pre Ranger, and SFAS.

It's really up to Cadre. If you are IET you wash out and go to needs of the army as you failed to meet training standard and objective.
People are going to fail. It's damned near a training objective. No class, ever has started and graduated with the same amount. People are going to drop, like flies. Most straight out quit because their resolve and their endurance flat out give. When you are struggling to stay away, when you are worn out exhausted, sore, miserable, hungry and being gnawed on and have sand and grit in personal places you question just why you are there doing this when you could be home, clean clothes, a hot meal and a comfortable bed.
I saw one person get recycled. One. And he was due to a medical. If you quit you will not be back barring some serious clout and pull from on high. I have never heard of a person that quit going back through... ever. It demonstrates a lack of will and resolve and if you will quit in training, how quick are you going to quit in a battle where lives matter?
Best advice to you is get used to discomfort. Learn to live with little sleep, little food and just accept the misery as part of the package. If you are insecure in your personal relationship ie wife or girlfriend... don't go or save yourself the trouble and cut that tie now because you will hear it, Jody is screwing your girl. Mind games to see who is mentally, physically and just all around tough enough and can dig down and take the pain, the torture, the agony and redirect it to get the mission done and make it through to graduation and beyond.

Your mindset is in the wrong place to start with. Get failure out of your head!

Quick question, get to RASP on Friday, PT on Tuesday & don't meet the minimum requirements, do you get a chance to keep going to get stronger or sent packing?

First of all take your mind out of failure and pass. Second, go on to have a rewarding career.

Nope, your ability to recycle or try again is based on how the instructors there evaluate your chances and if recycling you is worth their time. It also reads like your having a confidence issue here. What have you done to address that besides asking on rally point? Why not go to a Ranger Veteran website and ask what you need to prepare. Find other Ranger candidates and start asking them what they are doing. I'd look for an Army Ranger website..............here you go...........online mentorship program. I used to know one of the Mods at this website. Be polite and respectful or be prepared for some fairly mean blow back.

It depends on what you fail for. Normally they will give you the option to go to the needs of the Army (world-wide), or recycle from day 1. There's a number of things that can get you dropped/recycled, but having a serious incident or lack-of-motivation (LOM) will most likely get you dropped completely with a never to return (NTR) or placed on a 6 month probation period.
RASP 1 is not that hard. Just keep yourself in decent shape, never fall out of anything, have a good attitude, be a team player, do what they say when they say to the best of your abilities, and never quit.

I can say 100% mentally ready, but thing is I'm kinda skinny, so do you think it would be a problem sgt? I can endure everything if I can be a ranger.
