one of my peer’s soldiers had gone to to our 1SG and had Used the open door policy and reported my peer for abusing his rank ( all the type of toxic leadership trait you can imagine) he was given a letter of concern and his rank is possibly be reduced back to SPC. When these things happen to an NCO what in reality happens to them? As far as the possibility of rank reduction

It's all going to depend on the Commander and what was found during the investigation. He will either receive a reduction and a bad NCOER or not receive a reduction and receive a bad NCOER. Evidence depending.

The letter is a warning of pending investigation. If found that is true, the Co can reduce via UCMJ (Art 15).If it is true why would they want him/her as an NCO?

As an E5 that’s a rank that you can make some mistakes and still bounce back early in your career. Usually when you see this type of thing at this rank it’s due to immaturity more than malice. As long as the Soldier isn’t past the RCP for his new rank, he will have a chance to recover and regain his rank
