What if you are still serving in the the National Guard but are a veteran, does RP not acknowledge that as a veteran status?

If you are active, you have SM as your icon whether or not you are a veteran. Once you retire or leave, then you get a V or R depending on your status. V if you did not retire (after 20, medical, etc.) R if you did.

I believe MSG Sommer Brown you'll still have a n SM status until you ETS. I could be wrong but hey who knows.

You are still serving as am I. I was in the RA but now I am in the NG in the same great State.

You have to reenlist and then send in a notarized copy of your contract along with your very first LES and front and back copy of your basic training meal card.
