I did a TDY to the JIOC in 2015 as a first phase imagery analyst. It's a wonderful place to work, great people (because it's joint) a few of the people I work with at Schofield now (35Fs) have done TDYs there and they absotutely loved it. It's a great place to do Intel work and you'll learn A LOT. If you have any questions feel free to message me.

Hickham AFB, Hi I found was a great assignment and the Military recreation facilities all over the Island of Oahu where Hickam is located are outstanding. There is no shortage of places to eat, spots to go or things to do both on and off Military installations. Hickam also is a major Military Aerial port terminal and Military hops are available. The city of Honolulu which isn't that far from Hickham is a very clean modern city although I wouldn't try traveling there in rush hour traffic. There are some great armed Forces recreation area such as Bellows AFS, which had cottages for rent and a good mile and 1/2 of beach right on the open ocean. Hickam is also right next to Pearl Harbor Navel Station and there is of course the USS Arizona Memorial, the Battleship Missouri in anchored there which is the ship the Japanese surrender was signed aboard officially ended WWII, there is also submarine Museum an other displays on Ford Island which is in Pearl Harbor.
Off Base, the Honolulu Zoo along the coast toward Bellow's AFS area Sea Life Park. There are so many things to do it would take a book to list them all. As far as outstanding beach's, Hawaii sure has them and if You surf well plenty of places for that. climate wise it stays 75 to 85 all year round and may cool to mid 60s at night. I spent three years at Hickam AFB, HI Myself and it was a great assignment. I also had spent three years there prior when My Dad was in the Navy and stationed at Pearl Harbor. You can find a lot of information about these and even more places right on the Computer. There are even videos taken by cars traveling along the highways on Oahu which is the main island that Hickham is located on.
