For some, maxing the APFT is no sweat but for many, there is at east one APFT event that gives them trouble no matter how much they work on improving that event beforehand. What is your weakest event if any and what did you do to improve on that event?

CW4 (Join to see), I am not really good at running. I am stationed at Fort Bliss, TX where the elevation is a bit higher which makes it harder on running but I manager to pass all portions of my PT test but I do worse in the run.

Good old Fort Bliss. I actually grew up there and was stationed there twice. I know all about running in that dry and hot elevated area. Have you run Mckelligen Canyon or Trans Mountain yet?

Run used to be so I got my time to 13 mins. I run no more. I walk now 26 mins #airborneshuffle

Thanks for sharing. 13 minutes is pretty quick. I remember running that fast too. I still remember running sun 12's when we had to max the run with a 11:54. I don't even know how I ran that fast.

The pushup...I have long(er) arms.

How did I improve? Did more pushups.

Hooah, I'm in he same boat, long lanky arms equals a lot more effort and work with push-ups. I also used rowing exercises and pull-ups to help me too.

Sit-ups. I've always struggled with them, even before the army. Part of my problem is inconsistent workouts, I'll get four or five ncos all telling me to do diffrent thing and none of them are just straight sit-ups. What has worked to a point for me (when im not already burnt out from doing crunches planks ect... all day) is push-up sit-up drills after work.

I usually max push-ups and sit-ups, it's that run that gets me every time. I run 3-4 times a week, and it still doesn't help. I've done sprints, I've done long distance, other cardio etc and I still can't get below 14:00.

Push-ups, I hit mid 50's and my arms start shaking and get to that fatigue point. Every time no matter how much I do I get stopped at around their.
