That not everyone is/was military. Sometimes the military makes you bitter at people who aren't military just because no one thinks like a soldier does. Be nice to people, and that seems like common sense but I find myself being short or getting frustrated with people because they do things differently. Be a silent professional and never let you ego burn a bridge or make you look like you aren't humble. Some of the best leaders I know aren't good because they act more ferocious, they are nice and kind hearted people that and the drop of a hat would do anything for you. Sit down and think about what kind of leader you want to be, and take the good qualities from you old leaders in the Army and leave the bad ones. People don't need to be reminded that you're prior service if your actions and overall leadership qualities reflect it. Be nice to everyone you meet and remember that two stones sharpen one another meaning that even if you bump heads with someone, somewhere they do have information you don't, that may, in the long run make you a better person. Best of luck and inbox me if you need anything.

I can defiantly relate to getting frustrated at people. I have to just keep my mouth shut and regroup. Im working on a transitional program to give service members a leg up on the transition. Thanks for your input brother! All I can vouch for is what not to do. I have made my share of mistakes after getting out for sure.
