Obviously, this question is directed towards a very limited audience? No, I'm not looking for responses supporting PragerU. I am speaking directly to those who complain every time I share a link to one of their presentations. Simply repeating opinions that they are filled with lies and propaganda, or that they are "fake news", is not responsive. I would appreciate specific examples supporting such charges so that I may be dissuaded from ever again sharing such offensive material. Please be prepared for follow up questions and rational discussion if you respond. I am honestly interested in learning...

I don't agree that they are lies, propaganda or fake news, nor do I believe they are an unimpeachable source of information. I believe they do indeed have a bias toward the conservative right, much like the MSM has a bias toward the progressive left. They put a spin that supports their stance, just as surely as the other side puts their spin on things. Just because the information is used to support a particular stance doesn't necessarily make it a lie, propaganda, or fake news. What it does make it is something to be taken with a boulder of salt from whichever source. Both sides will continue to put the spin that supports their own position on any and all issues. Just my own opinion.

CPT Jack Durish Now, I've a question for you. Is it your contention that Prager U does not show a conservative bias?

CPT Jack Durish - Turns truth into lies? I think you equate far too much power to spin. Spin to me is whatever cherry picked information supports the premise that is being broadcast. Rather than outright lies, it is a particular willful exclusion of conflicting or opposing information. Once more, this is simply my own opinion, by no means fact supported by data.

SSG Rick Miller - To be fair, "spin" has many definitions depending on context. Generally, it is used as a form of propaganda to support a narrative. Journalists use it to cloud a reader's view. Lawyers suppress evidence that support the arguments of their opposition. Politicians use spin to aggrandize themselves and demean their opponents. Ideologues use it to sway converts to their point of view or prevent dupes from straying from their herd. In every case, bits of truth are woven into the fabric of a lie to make it more palatable. Thus, spin is fundamentally a lie. Call it an outright lie or quibbling, it matters not. It is a lie.

CPT Jack Durish - Hey, hey Captain Jack. Sorry, I just had to. :-) I would say that spin is more in the misinformation category than any outright lie. I suppose it could be classified as a lie of omission, but again, I believe that gives it too much power. I could also be really, really wrong about this, but I still view spin as trying to control the narrative by cherry picking the information.

Personally never really listen to him, but the left has their propaganda machines as well, hell CNN, NBC and CBS all nothing but propaganda machines for the left.

CPT Jack Durish - No never said they did, you reference opposition to Prager calling it propaganda, I just pointed out most of the so called main stream media is nothing but a liberal propaganda outlet service.

SSG (Join to see) - When and where did I "reference opposition to Prager calling it propaganda"? When you wrote "...but the left has their propaganda machines as well..." it is reasonable to surmise that you are equating them to PragerU.

Simply repeating opinions that they are filled with lies and propaganda, or that they are "fake news", This quote is what I am referring too, may be I misread your post. Just pointing out that those who call Prager a propaganda pusher but then cite CNN, NBC, CBS etc should realize that all they do is push propaganda these days or just ignore the facts all together. Again I never paid much attention to Prager so I cannot comment on his stuff. Sorry.
