My buddy Will had a license plate with the acronym "STFUNUB" around 2005-2006 when I worked his brother. I asked him how he got it, because it was so common for the DMV to reject vanity plates with acronyms that used offensive language. He said that he got away with it by telling the clerk it stood for "Stand Together Forever United, Never Underestimate Bush."

Not really effective for mission accomplishment, but did get attention from MANY liberals in the Bay Area. No, USAREC did not reimburse me the $90 a year I spent on registration. ..

Best thing I ever saw was a license plate frame was on a caddy at Ft. Bragg back in the late 80's. I was coming out of the main PX and saw it cruise by with a little old man at the wheel. The frame said "Original Airborne Test Platoon". I would have saluted, but I was unable to overcome my awe and just stood there with my jaw on the ground as he drove away.

And the sweet irony is that convicted felons are making those license plates all day! Irony, sweet irony.

This was my license plate that I had in VA back when I was working at PERSCOM. I took it to Afghanistan with me in 2004 and put in my truck...just so the Taliban knew who was shooting at them... ;)
