MOS Specific or General.
What made it so effective?
What have you done since to help facilitate similar training?

I sucked at school. The Navy taught me some learning techniques that were just the trick. Now once I had that tool. I would say TOPS School, Telecommunications Operations Specialist School. College Level Course for Telecommunications Managers. Chief Instructor had 2 colored pens, Red was wrong (Spelling, Grammatically, Technically) I think the other one was blue or green and that meant there was a better way to phrase it or do it, Not Technically Wrong but not quite right either.

"All the Army stuff"???  I don't quite understand what you mean.  In my eyes, the "Army stuff" is what sets us apart as a profession.  That is why we are the most trusted institution by the American public.  To hear a NCO say that it gets in the way is personally offensive.

Well we all have different points of view. Having seperated from the army and working for a civilian intelligence agency and then reenlisting in the NG after a 2 year break in service.

I can tell you that the "Army stuff" does get in the way from us performing our jobs as an interrogator or HUMINT. We would be way more effective (I can't speak for your MOS or any other, only for my own)

Also I'm guessing you haven't left the army or separated at all, to see how the civilian or federal agencies work? Which would determine how you felt about what I posted.
