"Armageddon" The scene when they were trying to detonate the nuclear weapon remotely from earth. A NASA scientist cut the signal and an Enlisted Security Forces guy basically tells him to stop and he sits down and starts typing in the NASA computer. I'm sure that's part of Security Forces training. LOL

Some of the mistakes are more obvious than others... sometimes they won't be noticed but by those who really about... the 'it'

Movies that show pilots moving the yoke like they are driving a car, and landing on any runway higher than 36.

Sgt John Koliha
Maverick slamming the control forward to "brake" the plane. Actually, this movement would do just the opposite.

haha... of course he did try to overthrow the ship and kill the crew, so the haircut was the least of his worries...

Sparky bullets... I fucking hate sparky bullets
Magic cover, for example a car door magically stopping AK-47 burst fire.
The Hollywood love for the minigun. Probably have ole Gov. Ventura to thank for that.
And it's been said a thousand times already, but taking a show seriously in which some troop is running around with their ACU collar up, just ain't happening!

I find it funny how things only protect the hero... the bad guy can be behind a tank in another zip code and get killed by BB gun. But the hero can hide behind a blade of grass and be shot at by a 50 cal and nothing!

I pretty much think any movie/tv show that wants to show their "soldiers" in the wrong uniform. Even though it helps us find the civilian wanna bes because they go off of what they see, but it still erks the hell out of me

So many have said the same thing... I can understand small mistakes, but some of them are beyond insulting, if you over think it...

one part that is probably unintentionally correct was WWII Germans driving US trucks, most German trucks in WWII were taken from other forces - the Germans used more horses than anybody else, a third of Hitler's truck were Fordwerke,(and Henry Ford made profit off of all of them)and another third were Opels (GM of Germany) you don't need to fly the Stars and Stripes on your Dodge truck, because a Dodge Truck is the Stars and Stripes, a German soldier would give up on his comrades before he gaveup his Dodge truck.
another sorta off-topic Henry Fonda starring as a Navy Officer, his cap was The Cap that he wore in the War

Great book for you: Charles Higham's "Trading With The Enemy." 47% of USAAF aircraft shot down over Europe from 1942 - 1944 were shot down by German planes with American gas in their tanks.

Army Deuces were GMC, Marine Deuces were Internationals, and the Lend-Lease Deuces that we sent to Russia were Studebakers, why did we send the best trucks to the Russians, a lot of current Russian trucks still use the same style of sloping hood that the Studebakers used. The Russians hated the tanks that were sent to them, they loved the Studebakers and the Caterpillers

Also, along the lines of fake accuracy, when the "Tora, Tora, Tora" and "Midway" Japanese are giving naval commands in English ("come left," "all ahead full") that is actually correct. The Japanese had the British train their Navy and indeed, most of their battlewagons and cruisers were built in British yards. So impressed were the Japanese that up until late 1942, English was used as a show of respect.

Stargate - the movie - when the COL calls the LTC "Lieutenant"
Deerhunter - the unit patch on the wrong side was for effect for the way the character entered the scene.

In the first episode of the Stargate tv show they had a dude wearing major oak leafs on his shoulders and SSgt stripes on his sleeves...I guess they took Sergeant Major a bit to literal :)
