My personal pet peeve is grenades that take 20 seconds to blow. The worst example I ever saw was that Die Hard movie about the airport. Bruce Willis is in the cockpit of some military plane, and the bad guys start lobbing grenades into the cockpit, but they don't blow up until after Willis has time to strap himself into the ejection seat and eject, at which point all the grenades go off simultaneously.

A Few Good Men...Col Nathan Jessup is explaining the erotic sensation of having sex with a more senior officer, but laments that "since I'm A Colonel, until they elect some gal President, I'll have to wait". Wow.

Speaking of A Few Good Men, the guys in the movie were charged with Conduct unbecoming a US Marine. There is no such charge. There is conduct unbecoming an officer, but not a Marine.

The use of "Roger, over and out" on radios irritates me. What that means in communications is, "Roger, I understand. Over, invitation to respond. And Out, end of conversation. " So, I acknowledge your last, I am waiting for your next transmission, but I am through with this radio call."

When watching a 'war' movie my wife's most used expression is "What did you see now?" when I rewind and pause the video to verify a goof e.g., uniform errors, troops too close together, nuclear hand grenades, et cetera ad infinitum, ad nauseum.

I don't remember the movie, but they had F-4 Phantoms, in a Korea vintage movie.

I'm not sure what movie you are talking about Rob. But in Iron Eagle 2 they used F-4 Phantoms as Russian Mig's!

And F-5's/T-33's as Migs in Top Gun. Then again, thats but one of many issues with THAT movie...

PO3 Donald Murphy - While I get your point on that one, they never claimed that the planes were actually supposed to be real MIG's, just that the pilots flew like Russian pilots and the planes represented MIG's.

SPC David Riley - They refer to them as Mig-29's in the movie. The studio even released a black plastic model of an F-5 with Russian markings from the movie.
