Rat Patrol, they used American half tracks covered with panels to look like German half tracks.

On a different take. Credit to "We were Soldiers". I was EOD at Ft Benning during filming. The film crew came in the unit and asked for WP hand grenade training aid. We gladly provided. It is included in the movie. Pretty good they wanted that small detail right and knew where to ask.
