Everything in “Kelly’s Heroes.” But it is still one of my all-time favorites. “What’s with the negative vibes, Moriarty? Can’t you say something righteous, and positive for a change?”

How about the movies that got it right? “A Bridge Too Far,” after reading both German and British General’s accounts, is pretty damn historically accurate. The actors even looked similar to the real characters... the events, like failure to bring the correct radio crystals and spares, came directly from the AARs. Yes, there was a bunch of artistic license surrounding the conversations, but the events, timeline, and sequence were all correct.

Right out of the gate, Haircuts/mustaches no where near in reg(william Hurts push broom mustache in The Incredible Hulk. He’s supposed to be a Flag officer ffs). Post Vietnam era Soldiers lounging around on duty with their ID tags hanging out. Any war room crisis scene where someone has their class A coat unbuttoned because you know, stress

All the verbal cliches
Soldiers are all in their 30s
At least one unstable psycho
Walking into combat with weapons slung
Private’s know more than the leaders
Hand grenades explode like nukes
In a firefight No one is behind cover
Salutes
Soldiers are better shooters than the enemy
Haircuts/ facial hair
Awards our of precedence
Wearing all kinds of “Gee Whiz” magical equipment
Wrong weapons for the era. Enemy using the other enemy’s weapons

The second GI Joe, ya the end when they’re handing out awards, Lady J’s uniform was completely mixed up with Marine Corp and Army items, IE the Eagle, Globe and Anchor on an Army Uniform, all while wearing a beret. I mean through out the whole movie uniformity didn’t seem to be a priority, but that one stuck out the most with me.

When military types in movies shout the phrase “stand down!” Pisses me off. Never happens.

Commando, where Arnold by himself takes out a whole batallion. Oh yea, and he rips off a metal tube from the wall and impales Bennett with it.
