What is the biggest military movie/TV goof, basically the military Movie/TV mistakes that annoys you the most?

My biggest pet peeve are "movie grenades". Hero tosses a frag grenade into a building, entire building explodes in a ball of fire like it was just hit with a Tomahawk. Throw that grenade at someone and when it explodes in a huge fireball, they are blown 20 feet into the air and their body is turned into red mist, even if the grenade explodes 10 feet from them.

In the movie, Karate Kid II, an Air Force two striper is trying to help Mr Miyagi and Daniel with directions to his village in Okinawa, and asks the "Sarge" where it is. The sergeant then replies, "You are standing on it corporal." Well, there are no corporals in the Air Force, and his rank was actually an Airman First Class (E-3). The correct response from the sergeant should have been, "You're standing on it airman."

Saw a movie call “punch” that supposedly starred “real” rangers. I am not a ranger but I spent six months replacing tiles in a ranger school and PX , so I think theyre some cool professionals. I felt that the movie captured some of what the ranger attitude is like, but the training was totally off, more like special forces training.

The Package, an otherwise good film, completely ruined by the lack of input from a military advisor. But the biggest offender was Basic with John Travolta. I think the only thing they got right with that one was the layout of the guard shack.

Stealth killed it for me as an AF guy. Watching them walk out in high flight suits like U-2 pilots wear, hooked up to LOX, but their helmet visors are wide open, and then the nail in the coffin was when they got to the F-117, and the cockpit was big enough for 2 with room to spare, I said that's it I'm done I cant watch any more of fhis.

Full Metal Jacket. The head scene when Pyle shoots DI and then himself, no tiles behind either were damaged by what Pyle said was 7.62FMJ rounds

In the move King Rat, he wore a 30th infinity red Bull patch, they were in Italy not the Pacific

In “Patton” the Gerneral arrives to a meeting in a Packard Limousine. But the car arrive in is a 22nd or 23rd series. Those cars weren’t built until 1948 to 1950

The US salute. No actor can master a very simple gesture. Or where and when to salute. It’s super annoying.

A Few Good Men. There is no such charge as conduct unbecoming a Marine. Also...Country. Corps. God. Repeated a couple of times and is all wrong. Marines here know what I mean.
