1st and 2nd grade students at Legacy Christian Academy and Dave's Creek elementary partner with SboutFace USA and demonstrated Support for veterans by purchasing backpack and sock for homeless veterans. One student said, "Appreciation is thanking them and Support is making a sacrifice for them." Smart kid don't you think?

Smart enough to realize, even at that young age, actions speak volumes yet words are greatly appreciated. Terrific story!

CPT Richard Laplace, after what those children did, I had to share what they Did! The amazing thing is they want to know what else they can do. There is Hope!

More children need to be taught the difference and to appreciated those that made this country safe for them and theirs.

Well I am impressed. Very well put. 1st & 2d graders are a lot smarter these days than I ever was at that age.

Sgt Joe LaBranche - I do love a story about something positive. Almost all we hear about is negative. Like they say "If it bleeds it leads" Thanks again for the great news.

Thanks for highlighting what the 1st and 2nd grade students at Legacy Christian Academy and Dave's Creek elementary partner with AboutFace USA and demonstrated Support for veterans by purchasing backpack and sock for homeless veterans. In answer to your question "What is the difference between Appreciation and Support"
We feel and attempt to show appreciation and we offer support Sgt Joe LaBranche.
Appreciation is for a moment and may not be appreciated by the one we are attempting to bless.
Support on the other hand makes sense only when it is tangible and obvious. Support is for a season which can last a lifetime.

Well said, LTC Stephen Ford! It is truly encouraging to see children so young reach out to support individuals they never met or know. All they know is that veterans, like you and me, went off to war and made a sacrifice for others. Now they want to help less fortunate veterans who have fallen on hard times.
