Be sure to let me know if the possibility of joining a different branch of service. Can i go Active duty? or only reserves? Do I have to wait 2 years after my discharge date to re enlist?

I agrees with @sfc Thomas call a recruiter but the chances are slim. What have you done since you left the service? Have you been to college? Been productive in got community? Have you changed since you exited the military?
You will need your discharge package also! Your best option is to try the national guard!
Don’t consider another branch cause if the army wont take you back then no branch will! You have to show the military why they should take another chance on you!
I got back in with. Misconduct discharge, general under honorable conditions recode 3 but I also proved to the military my discharge was based on a lie and since being out I became a police officer. So what have you done since leaving the serive!

Some recruiters just don’t want to help. Or they don’t want to do the work.

Why ask, When you can ask a recruiter?...what's the point of this web site if anyone can just go ask a recruiter. What's the point of responding to questions on a web site that demands logical and helpful responses...seems like more people could use more common sense these days.

I don't want to sound so blunt, but you should have thought that over before you displayed the patterns of misconduct.
Call a recruiter, your only bet is probably reserves.

Some "patterns of misconduct" are bogus. Let's not pretend that we do have unprofessional leadership that do abuse their authority over others. We've all seen it at least once in through our career let's not pretend this doesn't exist.

LTC Charles T Dalbec They do, and you are part of the problem. People learn and change for the better or unfortunately suffered from the abuse of authority from an unprofessional leader that has it out for them.

Dont worry bubba. I'm trying to reenlist too. As far as messing up like we did. Sometimes we do dumb stuff. But as we grow up it leaves the mind with maturity, chances are there. You can get back in but you have to make that change in your mind. Forget everyone else bringing you down. We are all in this together, never leave a fallen comrade. You can reenlist with re 3 and pattern of misconduct. Go to recruiters and make sure you're squared away before you do. They'll have to review your case and see the reasons why and you'll have to answer the questions as to why. But we all make mistakes, it's what we do with the lessons we learn that make us better leaders than our superiors. Take the reigns and make you're move wisely and with purpose.

I'm also having this problem right now it sucks because I've matured since then and I know I want this

Doubtful... Very doubtful... The military is not in need of bodies at the moment. If you have anything documented that says that you couldn't do it the first time they probably don't want to invest the time and money into giving you another chance.

6 months after your discharge date is when your eligible to apply for a waiver through your local recruiter, once your waiver has been granted you are able to decided between active and reserve.

Ask yourself ~~ Why would any of the Armed Forces want more members that have misconduct tendencies.

See a recruiter. Civilian: fully qualified for enlistment. RE-3 - Individuals who are not qualified for continued Army service, but the disqualification is waiverable. Ineligible for enlistment unless a waiver is granted

PVT (Join to see) Dont revert to that kind of weakness show them up brother. It's not the end of the world bubba. Suicide is never the answer man. You've gotta collect yourself and gather your mind before its ears you alive

PVT (Join to see) - if your state of mind is such that suicide is a viable answer, then no service will take you. I strongly suggest you see your nearest VA medical center/clinic to be evaluated and receive the appropriate help. Good luck.
