The age now is 42 year old. I believe you have to commission before or on the day you turn 42. So if you are 41 they will often send you to the accelerated course. That is how it is in the Tennessee Army National Guard.

Usually waiverable from age 35 to age 42 (as stated above). It does indeed depend on the state whether they want/need officers. Below age 35 no need for a waiver in the guard.

Specialist --- It certainly sounds like the highest rank you will make is your present rank. Do not waste instructors time trying to learn to be something that is reserved only for a select few.

Google and you will find. If you can not do that I question if you are officer material or not???

It says you must commission before forty two years.

Soec 4 ---Read the entire message before you vote down. I merely stated the facts and you can't handle the truth now can you.

Again read the entire message sent to you by a retired senior field grade Offucer that wrote Numerous Army Regulations.

LTC, all that rank and experience and you still don't know how to communicate effectively with others. Please stay in the Army because you wouldn't last a day in the civilian workforce. And for all those other officers who read this thread, you should be ashamed of yourselves for not checking the LTC for his personal attacks against the SFC. Sure the SFC could've gone online but he opted instead to reach out to this community of service members so he could get the most accurate response possible. He did nothing wrong here and did not deserve to be spoken down to by this person self-identifying as a LTC. I wouldn't be surprised if someone performed a check on AKO and failed to find someone of that name and rank. But if that person does exist, please let me know what command they belong to so I can personally reach out to their Commander and tell him/her what type of person they have working for them. Cyber bullying is real and it goes on even within our ranks, people. It's up to you to stop it immediately when you see it. You are the leaders so let's lead by example.

Thank goodness this senile old man is retired. I love how he has no idea how to get your rank correct, SFC.

The rule is that one can not be commissioned above 35 (At least that what is was back in my day) Therefroe one would have to go to OCS in time to finish by that age. You should be able to find the age easily if my number is wrong.

It's next to impossible to anticipate when to joke around on here. I've seen it go several different ways with no easy to remember rule.
